SHDSL
- SHDSL (Synchronous High-Bit digital subscribers Line) has much to offer the larger business, and is more useful in situations where a fast data speed is required in point to point applications over short distances using standard copper wires, at a much lower cost than most leased lines. The term Synchronous in the title refers to the fact that upstream and downstream data rates are the same. SHDSL has excellent reach, 2.304 Mbps can be achieved up to 13,000 feet from the exchange, and 384 kbps can be maintained at up to a 4 mile radius of the exchange.
